Our Commitment
to Sustainability

Sustainability is shaping the way we celebrate in 2025. From reducing waste to supporting a circular economy, hosts are finding ways to elevate their events while protecting the planet.

A typical wedding produces around 400 pounds of waste and emits roughly 63 tons of CO₂—equivalent to driving a car over 150,000 miles. Renting decor is one of the easiest ways to balance beauty with responsibility and combat unnecessary waste.

How does Gather Ink Studios support sustainability with rentals?

We combine elegant design with sustainably sourced materials, so you can celebrate in style while reducing your environmental footprint. Every decision, from product selection to custom creation, reflects our dedication to quality and our passion for protecting the planet.

What sustainable rentals do we offer?

  • Reclaimed wood signage

  • Vintage mirror signage

  • Vintage frames for signage and photos

  • Card boxes

  • Bud vases

  • Wedding arches

  • Table numbers

  • Accent linens made from recycled or organic fabric

  • Backdrops made from recycled or organic fabric

How do we keep our customized products sustainable?

All crafting materials are sourced from secondhand stores and local vendors AND/OR made from recycled and PVC-free mediums like:

  • Recycled paper for stationary

  • PVC-free vinyl

  • Vegan or recycled wax

What about materials that can't be reused?

We’ve partnered with local recycling facilities to ensure non-reusable materials aren’t added to landfills post-event.

How can sustainable rentals fit into a budget-conscious event?

Rentals often cost 30–50% less than purchasing decor firsthand. This allows you to reallocate funds to other unique experiences like live entertainment and locally sourced menus.

Other ways you can continue your commitment to sustainability for your event:

  • Work with local vendors to reduce CO₂ emissions from transportation

  • Work with venues that have green certifications or strong sustainability policies

  • Choose reusable or compostable tableware and glassware instead of single-use plastic items

  • Use in-season florals and greenery from local farms

  • Encourage or offer group transportation options for guests

  • Serve locally sourced and farm-to-table food

  • Donate leftover food to local shelters or foodbanks
